aftermarket mossberg safety
fixing to order in the next month a "metal" replacement safety to remedy a broken plastic one on an old mossberg 500a riot that was given to me in trade for an old lee challenger press and some dies and such.
All safety parts releated items with the exception of the plastic button are present. there are a couple of options available at brownells. sort of thinking about this one. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=2..._SAFETY_BUTTON ![]() anyone tried such or am i better off with the orginal mossberg "metal" replacement? the one pictured is "steel" while the replacement mossberg part will be aluminum. Order without liberty and liberty without order are equally destructive. Theodore Roosevelt I'm a Timex watch in a digital age........... |

The Brownell's steel replacement is a one-time, permanent fix.
Plastic and even aluminum may not be. Do it once and move on. |

You could do like I did and take a piece of wood and carve yourself a replacement. I used a scrap of walnut and it has held up about twenty years now.

Amen. Not much worse then having your safety jam when youhave lined up that straight shot.
Tact: Making someone feel at home when you wish they were. "The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be, secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them." Patrick Henry Our enemies have trained our teachers and professors. Those teachers are training our children. "The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. " Thomas Jefferson “If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”—Samuel Adams Gary |

Be a man! Get rid of all the safety detail parts. You don't really need 'em do ya"?
