Bell, Kalifornia Fiasco and Thieves

Anybody watching this story about the city of Bell, Kalifornia as it has unfolded from late last week?

A tiny city in the L.A. area with 37,000 lower class and poor citizens (median income reported at barely $10,000) with a City Manager who was being paid $750,000, the Police Chief $450,000 (twice the L.A.P.D. Chiefs salary) and City Ass't. Manager about $400,000.

They all offered to quit, but it was discovered this crooked manager would himself draw about $640,000 annual retirement, or about $20M over his retirement lifetime.

You need to Google "Bell, CA." to get exposed to this on-going story, it is a house on fire and now the state officials and others are all in a tizzy.

Funny thing is, it was all done legally and by the books. The voters were too lazy or too stupid to pay attention and validated the money grab at the ballot box.

The difference between a Socialist and a Communist is that the Socialist doesn't have all the guns yet.

Popeye, that pretty well sums up most voters these days, They are either too lazy or too stupid to understand what is on the ballot.

Tact: Making someone feel at home when you wish they were.

"The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be, secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them." Patrick Henry

Our enemies have trained our teachers and professors. Those teachers are training our children.

"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. " Thomas Jefferson

“If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”—Samuel Adams

There is so much to be revealed yet on this scam. The majority of Bell citizens interviewed thus far do not recall elections for "rule-making" being announced or held. The surface on this scam has only been scratched. There are too many "discovered revelations" coming to light to drop the blame entirely in the folks laps.

Some unidentified suits and ties entered the town offices without declaring their purpose or authority just yesterday and it stinks of a records heist. Were these "pals" of of Rizo, the police chief, AG Jerry Brown? Nobody knows yet.

When I live in the Detroit area, one story was the Deputy Fire Chief of one little town, getting ready to retire, applied for the job as Fire Chief of the town next door and got the job.

Then he found out that it he kept the Deputy Chief job for another year, his pension would jump from $40,000 to $50,000. So he proposed to both town councils that he hold both jobs for a year.

And they bought it!!

We have the firechief of Huntington Beach drawiing about $240,000 in his new job and another $200,000+ retirement from a previous Kalifornia fire chief job. This is just too typical in Kalifornia, gaming the ruinious and profligate "sysytem">

And remembering how Gulliver put out the fire in the Queen's apartment, you realize this fire chief is using the same technique on us.

It happens everywhere. A lot of these people live in a better area and own a second house where they work to fulfill residency obligations. They fully understand how the game works while the constituents never seem to have a good choice who to vote for because they are all crooks.

Don D. Snow seems to be liked by other FFF members
One of the smartest decisions (few and far between) I made in my life was when I left California to come home to Texas in '73. California was not for me then, and is not for me now.

There are some people who spend an entire lifetime wondering if they've made a difference.
The Marines don't have that problem.
President Ronald Reagan, 1985

Neither do the other Armed Forces.

Rep. Maxine Waters is an "absentee" congresscrook as she has not lived in her district for Lord knows how long. But, her fine upstanding constituents don't seem to really mind. In fact they're still waiting for "barry" to pay their rent and pay utilities and buy 'em gasoline 'cauze he own the U.S. Mint.

She will be next up for examination as somehow her husbands "bank" received something like $12M in bailout or stimulus funding (?).

Let's all pray that Rangel and Waters both take it in the shorts and get some prison time for their theft in office. Won't happen, but we can always hope.

Too bad for them. All they needed to do was play it straight.
